Highly Recommend
I came here at the weekend with some friends for a drink and meal and was warmly welcomed by the lovely staff. We were so lucky to be positioned right by the river! When we sat down a kind waitress offered my dog a drink of water which I really appreciated. The pizzas were top quality as were the drinks. The nags head most definitely exceeded my expectations and I will be returning in no time! It’s the perfect summer pub and would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff that made our trip so memorable!

Excellent Food & Great Service
I have just eaten with my family at the Nags Head and I cannot tell you what excellent value for money the meal was. The food was excellent, the fish and chips were to die for! The service was the best we have experienced in our time cruising the Thames and would happily coming back for more! Well done.

Amazing Service
Although I don’t leave reviews on many places, the service here was amazing especially the young lad jack who was very friendly and cheerful especially when holding a bizarre convo about the river- me and my wife were having. The food was amazing and the drinks came out very FAST! overall a great dinner and wonderful staff.

Excellent All Round
I recently visited the nag’s head with a group of friends, their large garden area boasts great views and there was plenty of staff which provided excellent service to accommodate us throughout our visit. Our waitress Zoe was very welcoming and the app used to order was intuitive. We will definitely be back!

So Good We Came Back Next Evening!
A group of friends cruising the river Thames, we moored at Abingdon and searched out a close place to dine. The Nags Head was a 5-minute walk from the boat. We were greeted by a lovely team, Kasia was so attentive throughout both evenings, she is a credit to the company. Social distancing etc was thought out wisely and we had lovely food from different menus each night, giving us the lighter and more filling options. The wine list is good. We enjoyed it so much we came back the following evening and will continue to do so in the future.

Lovely Location
Have been here a couple of times since post lockdown, the staff are very friendly, lovely location on the river very covid safe, toilets located outside so no need to go in the pub, the food is always good, and good fast service. Huge garden, we had burgers and a vegan burger which was very good, nothing was too much trouble.

Fantastic Local Pub
Excellently laid out pub on the island between the bridges. Great selection of food and drinks with an app ordering system that is very efficient. The staff very friendly and helpful

Another Excellent Meal
We’ve been to the Nags Head several times and it’s always been excellent. This is the first time we’ve been since the refurbishment and it’s gotten better. Fantastic food and great service from the wonderful Kesia (thank you again, you were brilliant!). If you fancy spending a bit more, the steak was incredible.

Delightful Evening Meal
We enjoyed a pleasant evening dining alongside the river – thank you to Kasia and her colleagues for looking after us so well. The menu provided a good selection of options for all tastes, and the food was delicious and served in a timely and well-paced manner.

Lovely Family Meal
